The Idea: Create a social network for people who are new to big metropolitan cities. For example you could create a site for New York with resources for people new to the city interested in local hangouts, reviews, apartments and other listings. It’s other primary use would be also be for people who were interested in meeting other recent transplants and like minded folks in person.

Think of it as craigslist (-) the sleazziness factor (+) yelp (+) meetup with some bits and pieces of facebook thrown in the mix, but with a singular focus on newly transplanted users.

Of course the devil would be in the details for getting something like this off the ground and you would certainly face a troublesome cold-start problem in the beginning. since the service is location sensitive and not particularly viral in nature.
